Identity and Accomplishments

We are not are accomplishments.  We are not our awards or degrees or publications, victories or even failures.  We are proud of these things; we seek them out, and we would feel slighted if they went entirely unnoticed.  But we are not our accomplishments.

We are, perhaps in part, the qualities that earned us those accomplishments.  But more importantly, we are the qualities that we value.  We are, I hope, the qualities that mean something to God.

And, in my humble opinion, the Lord almighty does not care a whit about Harvard Theological Review.
